1566 : NOSTRADAMUS the French astrologer, physician and seer, died due to edema, aged 62 (born in 1503). He made his last prediction on the evening before his death, when he allegedly told his secretary Jean de Chavigny, “You will not find me alive at sunrise.” His prediction proved to be correct when he was reportedly found dead lying on the floor next to his bed, the next morning. He was best known for his book Les Prophéties, which was a collection of 942 poetic quatrains predicting future events.
