What is the internet?..

The internet is a worldwide system of interconnected computer networks that all use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP / IP) to serve billions of users across the globe. It’s a network of networks each consisting of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to worldwide scope, that are linked by a vast variety of electronic, wireless and optical networks.
