2012 : The Solar storm of 2012 aka CME occurred as a very large coronal mass ejection emitted by the Sun, which almost hit the Earth, when it missed by only 9 days. The unusually large and strong solar storm could’ve caused damages of over US$2 trillion to electrical equipment around the world, if it didn’t miss Earth.

2015 : Kepler-452b planet was discovered by the Kepler space telescope, which was launched by NASA to to discover Earth-size planets orbiting other stars. Kepler-452b planet is approximately 1,800 light-years away from the Solar System, which would take 30 million years to get there travelling at about 59,000 kilometres per hour in the New Horizons spacecraft.

2021 : John Cornell the Australian actor and filmmaker died due to Parkinson’s disease, aged 80 (born in 1941).
