1976 : Forty workers died in an explosion at the Lapua ammunition factory, which was the deadliest accidental disaster in Finland’s modern history.

1997 : Tiger Woods became the youngest golfer to win the Masters Tournament. 21-year-old Tiger Woods won the prestigious Masters Tournament by a record 12 strokes in Augusta, Georgia.
