1868 : A patent for the invention of the Type-Writer was given to Christopher Latham, the inventor.
1887 : BANFF National Park became the Canada’s 1st national park, when The Rocky Mountains Park Act became law in Canada. Banff covers 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 sq miles) and consists of mountainous alpine terrain, glaciers/ ice fields, and coniferous forests.
1894 : The International Olympic Committee was founded at the Sorbonne, University of Paris, in France.
