1929 : Fred Hollows the New Zealand-Australian ophthalmologist was born in Dunedin, New Zealand (died in 1993 aged 63). He was best known for restoring eyesight to 1000s of people around the world.

2021 : PRiNCE PHiLiP the Duke of Edinburgh died at the age of 99, only 2 months before his 100th birthday. He his best known as the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, who are both members of the British Royal family.
