1687 : iSAAC NEWTON published Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica aka PRiNCiPiA, one of the most important works in the history of science. The 3 books written in Latin states Newton’s laws of motion, which formed the foundation of classical mechanics, Newton’s law of universal gravitation, and a derivation of Johannes Kepler’s laws of planetary motion.

1946 : The 1st modern BiKiNi was modelled, at a swimming pool in Paris, France. French designer Louis Reard unveiled a daring two-piece swimsuit at Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris.
