1904 : J. Robert Oppenheimer the American physicist was born in New York City, New York, USA (died in 1967 aged 62). He was one of those credited for being the “father of the atomic bomb” in the Manhattan Project, World War II nuclear weapon development.

1917 : Sidney Nolan the Australian painter was born in Carlton, Victoria, Australia (died in 1992 aged 75). Sir Sidney Robert Nolan (OM, AC, CBE) was one of the leading artists in Australia.

1936 : Glen Campbell the American musician was born in Billstown, Arkansas, USA (died in 2017 aged 81).

1937 : Jack Nicholson the American actor was born John Joseph Nicholson in Neptune City, New Jersey, USA.

1938 : Alan Bond the Australian businessman was born in Murdoch, Western Australia (died in 2015 aged 77).

1944 : Steve Fossett the American businessman, aviator, and sailor, was born James Stephen Fossett in Jackson, Tennessee, USA (died in 2007 aged 63).

The Millionaire Pilot Who Disappeared In The Nevada Triangle | Nevada Triangle : American tycoon Steve Fossett an experienced pilot failed to return from a solo flight over Nevada in 2007.
